Research and training
NAMC research builds the evidence behind the standards, and our training turns that evidence into everyday practice for members.
Led by Dr Jackie Wright
Our research team is led by Dr Jackie Wright, author of the 2019 Australian Voluntary Code of Practice and one of the foremost authorities on methamphetamine contamination in Australia.
The program aims to better understand contamination and its outcomes, raise community awareness, and support the standards and legislation the industry needs. Members get early access to findings and can contribute data from their own work.
Current and published work
A selection of the research NAMC has undertaken or supported.
Switches and power points
Are electrical power points and light switches more heavily affected by methamphetamine, amphetamine, pseudoephedrine, ephedrine, MDMA, MDA or other precursors than surrounding surfaces? Results will inform where testers sample and what remediators treat.
